Tad Carpenter is a designer, illustrator, author and educator, who, along with his wife Jessica Carpenter, runs the design and branding studio, Carpenter Collective. Tad celebrates the power of play and embraces the idea that the harder he works the luckier he gets. Tad will share his story about growing from a solo designer in the Midwest to design studio, how he builds illustrative brand experiences, and plenty of good ol’ dad jokes.

Things you might learn:

• The importance passion projects.
• How to pitch a picture book.
• To take risk. Discomfort is good for you!
• The value of building brands with an illustrative backbone. 

Or actually, you might not learn a damn thing. But, we’ll sure have some fun.
