Calling all higher education Utah students! AIGA Salt Lake City’s annual Student Portfolio Review is right around the corner. This is your opportunity to gain valuable advice, insight, and industry information from some of the crème de la crème of our local professional designers and agencies.
This event allows students to make connections which can lead to internships and (potentially) jobs. As the date approaches we will be releasing the day-of itinerary, so stay tuned! No tickets will be sold at the door, so please plan ahead.
This year, we also have the pleasure of hosting lettering and typography artist Kevin Cantrell as our guest speaker!
Kevin functions as the creative director and design lead for all KCD client projects and has a deep understanding and love of lettering and typographical aesthetics. Earning a BFA in Graphic Design in 2008, he established his signature typographical aesthetics applying them to clients such as: Nike, M&RL, Neenah Paper, Fetcham Park (UK), Harvard University, Princeton University, Phillips Exeter Academy and Cottonhouse Hotel (Barcelona). His work has been recognized by Communication Arts Design and Typography Annuals, Graphis, Type Directors Club, Print Regional Design Annual, the One Show, and more. Kevin was named one of Print Magazine’s 20 under 30 New Visual Artists 2014 and is an Art Director’s Club (ADC) Young Gun 12.
