2012 SLC Board Retreat: Exciting Planning Becomes a Reality

A few weeks ago we had our annual AIGA SLC Board Retreat, an intense 2 days in which we went over the past year’s events and began to plan the year ahead. We were fortunate to host the 2012 AIGA Leadership Retreat back in May and the energy and excitement that we experienced was transferred into our own programming for the upcoming year. AIGA is changing on a national level in many exciting ways and we would like for our 2012–2013 plans to reflect this spirit.

The largest change can be seen in the new membership structure, in which AIGA is shifting to a model that makes membership more accessible and increases participation. We are striving to make our upcoming events more inclusive as well engage designers of all disciplines. We have an exciting immediate lineup that includes the talented Aaron Draplin speaking September 13, a Cocktails Ice Cream with Creatives social on September 20, our second annual Salt Lake Design Week October 22–27, and a Hatch Show Print event December 6–7. And this is only the beginning. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay informed and be engaged with your design community.ut the leadership retreat. Check back soon!
