Please join us for an Adobe Creative Jam, an exciting event, hosted by Adobe & The University of Utah.
Adobe Creative Jam is an international event series featuring fun, hands-on activities, technology demonstrations, talks by creative thought leaders, giveaways, and free food for all attendees.
18 student teams from Utah will compete in a design competition to create an original design based on a theme they were given only a few hours before. Come cheer on your favorite team, see the original design they create using Adobe XD, and vote in the Audience Choice award for best design.
Agenda
6:00pm Jam Begins – Doors open – Settle in, eat some food, meet some interesting people, discuss your career with industry pros, and learn/see about exciting technology available at the Marriott Library.
Watch the teams in action as they participate in a fast-paced design competition for prizes and trophies—pop your head in and see how their apps are developing.
6:30pm Talks Begin – Hear from local creative leaders as they walk you through their creative process and share insights and inspiration
Keynote speaker Tim Lee, Exhibits Manager & Senior Exhibit Designer – Natural History Museum of Utah
Working with the Museum exhibit team, curators, and outside experts, Lee conceptualizes, plans, and develops original exhibits, both permanent and temporary. He uses design thinking, conceptual planning, 3D design, spatial planning, and storytelling to communicate to visitors.
Lee has won several design awards, including the 2005 Excellence in Exhibition Award from the American Association of Museums for The Dark Zone, an in-house designed and built temporary exhibit on Utah’s caves and the mysterious life they hold.
8:00pm -Presentations & Judging Begin – competitors take the stage to share their design solutions.
Creative Jam Tournament Awards – The audience and judges vote and award prizes to the tournament teams.
