The 3% Road Show SLC

Thursday, July 31, 2014
4:30pm – 8:30pm
The Gallivan Center
239 S Main St.
Salt Lake City, Utah

We are cutting into your summer break to tell you about The 3% Conference Road Show.

Only 3% of all Creative Directors in advertising are women. Kat Gordon, founder of 3% Conference, worked as a creative at several large agencies and witnessed firsthand how women weren’t in senior leadership positions and were often absent from pitches, especially on the creative side. Years later, she launched her own agency, specializing in marketing to women. What she learned there coincided with the growing evidence on the importance of the female consumer. Gordon’s perspectives have changed the marketplace, especially when it comes to advertising. In 2012, Gordon launched the 3% Conference, explaining the business imperative of diversity to the future of advertising.

In 2013, Gordon started taking the 3% message to the road. The goal of these evening events is to bring a city’s community together and to unite them around an important fact: diversity = creativity = profitability.

During the stop in Salt Lake City, attendees will hear from a local panel of esteemed advertising leaders (listed below) as they personalize and localize the movement to their own careers and agencies.

Alexandra Fuller, Creative Director, Struck
Jeff Sheets, Founder, BYU AdLab
Lori Feld, President, MRM/McCann West
Sallie Mars, SVP, Chief Diversity Officer, McCann Worldgroup
Adam Morgan, Executive Creative Director, ThomasArts
